Description of the opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key supporting role in one of the world’s largest MNCs in steel industry. In addition to developing knowledge of the market dynamics of steel and associated raw materials, the role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop key problem-solving, strategic thinking and communication skills.
Main activities and responsibilities
Monitoring the market dynamics on daily basis and prepare weekly report
Update and deepen the analysis (demand, supply) supporting relevant reports/analysis
Coordinate internal/external resources to collect information and conduct the analysis
Update profiles of key steel producers
Support strategic ad hoc projects / studies as required
Qualification
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Natural Science or Management (Finance, Economics)
Numerate, strong analytical and problem solving skills
Comprehensive computer skills including database searching, Microsoft office (word/PPT/excel), spreadsheet analysis and online research
Good industry knowledge; experience in application of strategic models helpful
